Graduate from a Kern County High School that have games officiated predominately

•

Participate in a minimum of one season of varsity athletics

•

Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

•

Applicants must submit the following:

1. Completed JH Scholarship form

2. Personal statement

Attend a 2-year or 4-year college during the 2010-2011 academic year

any possible barriers attaining these goals

3. Two letters of recommendation

One page paper explaining academic goals, professional goals and

One letter from a coach, teacher or counselor

Application deadline is Friday, May 7, 2010. Send completed application to;

On behalf of the Board of The Kern County Officials Association (KCOA), the KCOA Scholarship

Committee would like to invite student-athletes of Kern County to apply for the 2009-2010

Joanie Harper Memorial Scholarship.

A $2000 scholarship will be awarded to a male and female athlete that exemplifies excellence

in the classroom and has demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and teamwork in their

respective sport.
